Everyone is quite familiar with the day trips people, usually seniors, take to places like museums and casinos. It’s a normal occurrence, especially in Southern California. In 2016 a normal trip turned fatal when a bus returning from Palm Springs rammed into the back of a semi killing 13 and injuring another 31. The crash was so bad that the bus actually entered 15 feet of the semi. The investigation over whether it was the bus driver’s fault is still pending.
