It was still early December in 1990 when a really dense fog fell over the I-75 in Tennessee. While there were warning signs posted, they were absolutely no help for the motorists caught up in the 70-car pile up. 13 people lost their lives that day as over 30 fire stations came out to help with the wreckage. The state has since installed better warning systems when it comes to the fog to insure that this never, ever happens again.
