Next on the list is another carnivorous plant, the Venus Flytrap. Same as the Pitcher Plant discussed below, this plant also consumes small insects and animals.
The dangerous plant is found in Eastern Carolia but its natural habitat is based in the wettest areas. So how does it catch its prey?
Venus Flytrap has lobes that help trap the prey. These lopes are kept open so that the prey can come in contact with them. As soon as the prey comes near, the Venus Flytrap closes the lobes to trap the prey. Once caught, the prey takes about 10 days to be digested.
So remember to steer clear of this plant, even though it might not be of much danger to you.
