5) Caramel Sauce In Cute Jars (5 of 5)

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 12 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt, in a salt grinder (table salt would work too but it won’t dissolve as fast)
Instructions
- Gather heavy whipping cream, butter, (both at room temperature), sugar, and salt.
- Add 2 cups of sugar to a large saucepan. Put on medium heat and wait for the sugar to start to melt.
- Then begin whisking. Stop whisking and check for an amber, caramel-ish color when it turns to liquid.
- Add butter, then stir until it’s mixed in evenly.
- Remove from heat and slowly stir in cream and a tablespoon of salt.
- Let the pan sit for about ten minutes and cool.
- Pour into jars and cool to room temperature.
- Store in the fridge for up to 3 – 4 weeks.
