There are very few cool storm photos that are better than the ones of Hurricane Dean, which was the strongest storm in 2007, and also the most intense since 2005, when Hurricane Wilma came to rock the party. The strong winds, rains, and waves caused by the Hurricane resulted in around 45 deaths and it reached a Category 5 status before dying out.

Hurricane Dean made landfall in an area which wasn’t populated and thus didn’t cause as much damage as some major hurricanes. It still cost around $1.76 billion in terms of damages. This shot of the Category 5 super storm Hurricane Dean, taken from space is stunning.
